An Obsession With Small?

Day Four: Country No.27
WALES Arrival Time: 1:54pm
Some good friends of mine lives in Wales and I did say that I’d try and squeeze in a visit if I had time. So with 12 minutes spare I made a very speedy virtual visit to a couple of locations.
Cilgerran
Cilgerran is in Pembrokeshire, in the south of Wales. It sits on the south bank of The Teifi River. Cilgerran village hosts the smallest museum in Wales and thanks to Hiraeth films it is possible to make a quick virtual visit of it (see link to YouTube below). “The museum is dedicated to Tom Mathias, a documentary photographer from Cilgerran who was active between the 1880s and 1920s. He mostly worked with portraiture and photographing family and social occasions but he was also a keen naturalist, bee keeper and astronomer. Some of his works have been preserved in this phone box as the smallest museum in Wales and one of the smallest in the world.” (Visit Wales website)

10. Boats by Conwy Quay.
Conwy
The Smallest House in Great Britain (it’s in the Guinness Book of Records) is located on Conwy’s quayside, nestled amongst a terrace of houses. It is “72 inches wide by 122 inches high” and was occupied until 1900. The last person to live in it was “a local fisherman called Robert Jones (who also happened to be 6 foot 3)...The house may be small but it’s extremely practical - there’s just enough room for a single bed, a fireplace and a coal bunker.” (visitconwy.org.uk)
Okay, so I spent a grand total of 7 minutes visiting Wales. My quickest visit yet. I however still have 5 minutes left...as I have one more country to squeeze in.
